​HARMAN Automotive is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for its Android and Embedded Systems team in Bangalore. This trainee program is structured for students or recent graduates to build practical experience working across a multi-layered automotive software stack. In this role, you will assist in writing and upgrading software modules for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment, audio processing, and driver safety platforms. The internship emphasizes technical upskilling, offering hands-on training to build, test, and release code while using real-world developer tools like emulators, hardware simulators, and runtime debuggers.

​Requirements:

• ​Currently pursuing or recently completed a BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• ​Basic conceptual and technical understanding of software development pipelines. Academic or self-taught interest working with C and C++ languages.
• ​Baseline operational familiarity with Linux kernel commands, environment navigation, or system architectures.
• ​A foundational awareness or basic training in Android OS platforms, architecture layers, or mobile/embedded applications.
• ​An interest in expanding skills across real-time embedded environments, including Embedded RTOS, device drivers, and multi-layered hardware-software stacks.
• ​Active willingness to learn software verification practices by utilizing low-level runtime debuggers, hardware emulators, and device simulators.
• ​Eagerness to assist with software release cycles, continuous integration checks, and engineering quality assurance tasks.
• ​A strong positive attitude to absorb changing automotive trends, solid communication and facilitation habits, and a collaborative team-first mindset.
